Retreat to Remember

Women's Yoga & Wellbeing Retreat

20th - 25th  May 2026

Epidavros, Greece

Join us!

You don't need to do more...

You need to remember who you are.

Beneath the endless to-do lists, the mental load, the juggling act - there's a version of you that isn't tired. That isn't running on empty.

That knows, quietly, that she's going to be okay.

This retreat is an invitation to meet her again.

In one of the most magical corners of Greece, we'll slow down, breathe, move and rest together - using the ancient practices of yoga to reclaim our authentic joy that's always been there.

Want to heal like the ancient Greeks?

Long before yoga reached the West, long before wellness became an industry, people knew something we seem to have forgotten:

True healing has never been about just one thing.

Two and a half thousand years ago, this very corner of Greece was the ancient world's most sacred healing sanctuary - the Sanctuary of Asclepius at Epidaurus.

People walked for days, sometimes weeks, from across the Mediterranean to come here.

They came to move, or to laugh and weep in the great theatre.

To purify, to rest, and to be held by community.

To tend to the body, the mind, the emotions and the soul

- Because the ancient Greeks understood that you cannot heal one without the others.

And at the heart of it all was enkoimesis - the sacred practice of conscious rest.
They would lie down in absolute stillness in the abaton, a sacred sleeping hall, and surrender themselves to sleep.

Trusting that in that liminal space between waking and dreaming, healing would find them. That something greater than worry or willpower would arrive.
It did. For thousands of them.

Here's what I find remarkable: This practice (what the ancient Greeks called enkoimesis) is so very similar to Yoga Nidra.
The same threshold state. The same surrender. The same deep trust that the body and soul know how to heal - if only we'll stop long enough to let them.

Yoga Nidra is at the heart of what I teach. But so is everything else the ancients knew - movement, breath, laughter, stillness, connection.

This retreat is built on all of it.

When you lie down for Yoga Nidra in Epidavros, you are joining thousands of years of women and men who came here, laid down their burdens, and allowed themselves to be well again.
You're not doing something new.

You're coming home to something ancient.

This isn't about perfecting your downward dog.

It's not about how you look in a yoga pose, or how flexible you are. Even if you haven't set foot on a yoga mat before...

You are welcome here.

You see, we'll be embodying what yoga actually is - not the Instagram version, but the full, rich, thousands-of-years-old map for living a more peaceful, connected, and of course joyful life.

We'll move our bodies in a way they want to be moved. We'll breathe in ways that can create more vibrant energy, and in ways that creates feelings of peace and calm.

We'll lay in stillness. Connecting to the deepest part of us.

We'll laugh together, maybe cry a little together.

We'll eat beautiful food in traditional Greek tavernas, and we'll swim in the crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea.

And underneath all of it, one quiet, consistent invitation:

To remember your truest nature.

To experience yourself as the whole, worthy and complete being you already are.

What You'll Experience

Six days that might just change everything

Morning practice - Start each day gently. Breath, movement and mindfulness to wake the body up with kindness rather than pressure. Sunrise swims & beach meditations for those who want them.

Daily yoga sessions - At least two practices each day weaving together asana (postures), pranayama (breathwork), somatic movement, meditation - and the jewel in the crown, Yoga Nidra.

Yoga Nidra - Often called "the sleep of the yogis," this guided practice takes you to the edge of sleep while remaining gently aware. In 45 minutes you can access the kind of restoration that hours of ordinary sleep can't always reach. People often describe it as the most profound relaxation they've ever experienced.

Workshops & journaling - Gentle, guided reflection to help you understand yourself a little better and leave with real tools, not just a tan and great memories 😉

Beautiful, nourishing food - A locally-sourced brunch each morning and dinner each evening at a traditional Greek taverna. Vegetarian as standard, vegan on request. Because nourishment is part of the practice too.

Free time to exhale - Optional snorkelling, nature walks, exploring the nearby old port, reading under an olive tree. Or simply doing absolutely nothing. That's allowed here.

Connection - Something magical happens when a small group of women slow down together. The friendships made on retreat are some of the most meaningful many guests say they've ever had.

Location

Ancient Epidavros, Greece

Two hours south of Athens, nestled between the mountains and the sea, Epidavros is one of those places that takes your breath away.
It's not too touristy and definitely not a party destination.

Its quiet. Green. Extraordinary.
The village sits at the edge of a protected bay, surrounded by pine forests and ancient olive groves. The sea here is calm and clear.

The pace of life, genuinely slow.

Our retreat is hosted at a beautiful family-run venue with its own dedicated yoga shala. It's just outside of the main town and surrounded by lush gardens and breathtaking mountain views. The sea is just just a stone's throw away.

Your studio accommodation is bright and spacious, with a kitchenette, and everything you need.

And of course -  the ancient Sanctuary of Asclepius with the famous 2,400-year-old theatre, is right on your doorstep. Making this sacred ground.

Check out the testimonials below to hear how prior guests describe the energy. It really is quite remarkable how much you can feel it.

What people are saying...

"The combination of working on mind and body, in such beautiful surroundings, was fantastic. Tara has a very soothing and encouraging way about her, and the feeling of connection between everyone on the retreat was very powerful. The food was very tasty too. So much choice and all delicious!"

"Sunrise swims and yoga sessions made for the perfect start to each day, and the whole experience was rejuvenating in every possible way."

"This retreat was exceptional! Tara's approach is very calm, laid back and intuitive, making each session feel deeply nourishing and just what I personally needed. Her ability to create a safe and supportive space allowed me to explore my practice at my own pace, exploring my own limits while also learning to offer myself grace and self-compassion.
The retreat itself was set in the most peaceful place and felt so calm and nurturing. I left with a  clearer mind and a real feeling of connection - To myself, the group... and that beautiful part of Greece!"

"Just wanted to say thank you for making me feel so welcome at The Retreat ….I particularly enjoyed the meditation sessions and was surprised just how much I relaxed 😌. The venue was just beautiful and such a good choice!

It was fantastic meeting you all and sharing so much with all the other ladies too!"

"After the retreat I feel a bigger sense of clarity and direction. When I feel anxious I practice breathing techniques that I always found difficult before. I have also felt more connected to the world around me and feel calm and joyful in everyday life.

All the sessions were amazing, Tara guided everyone throughout in a relaxed and knowledgeable way. The workshop on the Friday afternoon really helped to give me tools to journal and question my thoughts process.

The gifts were a generous and thoughtful addition that I really didn't expect. Thank you from the bottom of my heart "

"I can’t recommend Tara’s yoga retreat highly enough! As someone who had never been on a yoga retreat before, I was initially a little apprehensive, but all my nerves went away as soon as I arrived and met the wonderful group of participants.

Tara’s expertise and thoughtful approach meant she was able to tailor the program perfectly to our needs, adjusting both the schedule and the level of yoga for everyone. The dedicated yoga studio, nestled within a lush and peaceful garden, offered the ideal environment for practice.

Each morning, we enjoyed a relaxing breakfast on the terrace after our session, and there was always plenty of time to explore the surrounding area. It was nice to not be rushing. We visited the charming old port and town nearby. We lounged on the quiet beach, chatting or reading books. In the evening, we strolled to a nearby taverna to savour delicious, traditional Greek cuisine. A perfect way to end each day.

Before the retreat I felt very tired, stressed and burnt out. I had no expectations for the retreat only that it would be a nice time away, in the sunshine and to practice yoga - I was a lapsed yogi so was looking forward to it. during the retreat I noticed that I was sleeping better, I was able to switch off all anxieties from home and immersed myself into the day ahead.

Post retreat, apart from missing being there (!) I feel much more able to face the challenges of the day and tried to incorporate the yoga teachings from the retreat into my daily life and I feel more rested and rejuvenated. The most beneficial aspects were the yoga sessions themselves and the teachings. But honestly - I loved every minute of every day whilst on the retreat.

I have rebooked a place on next year's retreat and I am looking forward to it already!

Your teacher & host

Hi, I'm Tara, an experienced yoga teacher from the UK, now living in Greece. I believe that everyone deserves to feel good, and to live without burden and dis-ease

I began my own yoga journey 30 years ago (eek!) and many years and many many studio classes later, I came to understand where the true power lay.

In living the yoga!

And after a long time battle with depression and anxiety I was ready to feel good again. I was ready to remember what my soul came here to do. Ready to connect to my own inner resource of peace, love and magic.

So I did!
And now my mission is to help you do the same. And where better than to do this in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

I cannot wait to welcome you here to Greece. 🙏🏼
I'm Ready!
