Why This Works

Releasing Tension and Stuck Energy

Throughout the year, we accumulate physical, mental, and emotional tension. This tension often manifests as tightness in the body, overthinking, or a sense of being "stuck." Restorative yoga and gentle movement work directly with your nervous system to release this buildup, promoting deep relaxation and the free flowing of energy.

Yoga Nidra, often called “yogic sleep,” takes this a step further. In this deeply restful practice, your body remains still while your mind journeys through a guided meditation. This allows you to:

  • Let go of habitual thought patterns.
  • Dissolve deeply held tension.
  • Enter a “neutral blank state,” where you are free from past worries or future anxieties, creating fertile ground for transformation.

The Science of Yoga Nidra

When you practice yoga nidra, your brain moves into the theta wave state, associated with creativity, healing, and accessing the subconscious mind. In this state, the mind becomes highly receptive to positive suggestions and intentions, allowing you to:

  • Create new neurological pathways: By planting intentions while deeply relaxed, you essentially “rewire” your brain, shifting patterns of thought and behaviour.
  • Reduce stress and anxiety: Yoga nidra has been proven to lower cortisol levels and activate the parasympathetic nervous system, helping your body restore balance.
  • Access profound states of rest: One session of yoga nidra can be as restorative as 3-4 hours of sleep, allowing you to start the new year with a clear and energised mind.

Workshop 2

This workshop is about moving forward in the way your deepest self is needing.

Using Yoga Nidra, you’ll set intentions from a calm, receptive state, allowing them to take root at a deeper level than the thinking mind.

✔ Reflective journaling
✔ Yoga Nidra for intention-setting
✔ Workbook + audio recording

The Power of San Kalpa (The intention we set in yoga nidra)

Unlike resolutions, which often rely on willpower, a san kalpa works at the subconscious level. In this deeply relaxed state, your intentions are more than fleeting thoughts; they become seeds planted in the most receptive part of your mind.

Over time, with the help of the guided audio recordings you’ll receive, these seeds grow into new habits, perspectives, and ways of being.

This approach is grounded in neuroplasticity, the brain's ability to reorganise itself by forming new connections.

By repeatedly listening to your audio recordings, you’ll reinforce the intentions you set during the workshop, creating lasting change in a way that feels natural and aligned.

Founder of Warrior Heart Yoga

I just love how yoga can support us in so many ways, especially as I'm coming into my late forties and experiencing the joys perimenopause is bringing 😅

Yoga is my rock.

It's taught me how to stay grounded and feel confident in myself - so that I can embrace life without all of the anxiety and fear I once felt. I get to adventure in Greece and build my own business. Things I couldn't have imagined years ago, when I was really struggling with my mental health and what I now know was ADHD.

And Yoga Nidra has been the biggest game-changer of all. For myself and my clients.

My mission is to share what I've learnt with as many people as possible, helping each individual find what works best for them.

We all have our stuff we need to move through and it's different for everyone. Same as how a yoga pose will look/feel different for all of us.

So let's embrace our uniqueness, celebrate all we have already grown through and be the example for living a more fulfilling, authentic, wild warrior life!
